Composition
The board consist of nine (9) members, three (3) of whom shall be re-elected or replaced at each Annual General Meeting.
The Executive of the Board comprise of four (4) members, diligently led by the President Mrs. Margaret Weston.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors must be constantly cognizant of responsibilities to Governmental structures, including but not limited to the Co-operative Division, Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago, the media, the community and the public.
The Board therefore has ultimate responsibility for the governance of the Credit Union
Accountability
The Board is formally accountable to the general assembly of members, which is the highest governing body.
The roles and responsibilities of the Board, Committies and Managers is established clearly in the bye-laws or other policies.
It is the duty of the Board to establish strategic direction, approve policies and monitor Management’s implementation of these policies and achievement of targets.
It is the duty of Management to prepare the plan and budget, undertake operations, implement the policies approved by the Board and achieve the targets set forth.
